Inga Simpson is an Australian novelist and nature writer. Her works have been longlisted and shortlisted for prizes and awards including the Miles Franklin Literary Award, the Stella Prize, the ALS Gold Medal and the Fiction Indie Book Award. Her novel Willowman was shortlisted for the BookPeople Adult Fiction Book of 2023 and in 2024 was selected as one of BookPeople's 100 Must-Read Australian Novels. Her latest novel, The Thinning was longlisted for the 2025 Stella Prize.
