StoryFest at Schools 2025 will bring the magic of storytelling to students throughout Milton, Ulladulla and Sussex Inlet.

Some of Australia’s best known, and most loved writers will deliver unforgettable experiences to Milton, Ulladulla and Sussex Inlet Public Schools,  St Mary’s Star of the Sea Primary School and Ulladulla High School. And for the first time, Budawang School will join the StoryFest at Schools program.

Who’s on the program?

International award-winning author and illustrator Sami Bayly, who confesses she loves all things weird and wonderful, will be at StoryFest for the first time. Poet, advocate and author Solli Raphael will show why he’s reached a global audience of two billion people. Best-selling author and podcaster Tami Sussman will bring her own lively brand of fun to some of our youngest story lovers. 

Author and former television producer Nick Long, who has been up close and personal with deadly snakes and ruthless crime lords, will bring storytelling with a twist to our primary schools, while acclaimed children’s writer Sue Whiting, a hit at the 2023 festival, will return with sessions guaranteed to inform, inspire and entertain. The Vegetable Plot, a trio that has wowed school audiences across the country, will give quirky performances that tell stories in a different way.

Add to that slam poetry from creative powerhouse Word Travels and thought-provoking workshops with award-winning novelist Inga Simpson at Ulladulla High and it’s a school’s program that will thrill the imagination of everyone who takes part.
